Rob has been working in the critical power industry, specifically Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems, for over 20 years.   He began his career as a service technician working on different manufacturers, performing startups, preventive and corrective maintenance.

In 2009 he completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineer from Capitol College. After which he did Site Acceptances testing of UPS Systems, batteries and generators and power quality work, both of which he still enjoys today.

In 2012 Rob passed the Professional Engineering exam and is a registered Engineer in Maryland and Washington DC.

Rob works as the Operations Manager and managing partner at Static Power in Columbia MD. The company specializes in providing custom solutions for customers ranging in size from IT closets to medium-sized data centers.

Rob enjoys writing and sharing the knowledge he gained over his career to help educate others and solve similar problems. He has written articles for EC & M, guest blog for business partners and recently finished a book on UPS Systems for the novice.
